this year on August 5 religious Jews will mourn the destruction of the temple by not eating nor drinking.
libraries will close as well as places of "partying" by Israeli Law
for 3 weeks previous, during the month called "tamuz" some things were forbidden to them=since around mid-July.
however considering that for thousands of years Jews prayed for the rebuilding of Jerusalem, as preserved in Sadya and Maimonidies, now that it is rebuilt AND JEWS RETURNED we should reverse the sadness of these days to joy for the rebuilding
even if it would be sad=mourn, we still should not fast, because mourners "eat comfort meal" according to Jewish tradition
!!
But after hoping for so long to rebuild, now, we should switch to celebration that Jerusalem is built
בחודש סיון אכלתי הרבה גבינה
תמוז שמחה, ירושלים נבנתה
אלפי שנים קיוינו לחזור אליה
לכן גם אב נהפוך בכי לשמחה
הערה: לאחריהם חודש אלול סוף השנה, ואז ראשיתה בחודש תשרי וחג עברי "ראש השנה"
