BEWARE
If you are a gentile then do not be baptised in water!
The message for the Gentiles in Corinthians first chapter1, by Paul=paulus the one sent to the Gentiles [source romans 1.5] is: "14 I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15 so no one can say that you were baptized in my name. 16 (Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don’t remember if I baptized anyone else.) 17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel..."
I see the words "Christ did not send me to baptize" SO DO NOT BE FOOLED BY MISSIONARIES AND DENOMINATIONS THAT WATER BAPTISM IS IMPORTANT!

"Baptism does not produce commitment; a person's commitment through faith prompts the desire for baptism in obedience to God's command." implying that one is commanded to baptise in water yet if you really believe in the new testament, then you will not accept this view. If you are a jew then say: "Jews dont care about Corinthians, i can get baptised in water... or not"
