Christmas and Brumalia

around 2,000,000,000 two billion christians celebrated christmas eve with many non-christians.
once claimed to be the date Jesus was baptised-
though the water would have been cold!
some wrote around 320 AD Jesus was born on this date yet the gospels lack any basis for Jesus or his disciples celebrating any date for his birth and the book of acts 2 has the apostles GATHER on the JEW-HOLIDAY pentecost and lacks any foundtaion that they celebrated jesus's birth at all on any date and any claim that they did on this date 25 is baseless.
internet stats show that the word "brumalia" was not popular, however "this word increased significantly in lookups over the past seven days." [22-29] in the week of christmas because people are becoming aware of the coinciding date.
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/brumalia
Full Definition of BRUMALIA:  a pagan festival held at the winter solstice"
which WAS 25 december as a more detailed website explains:
http://www.ancientworlds.net/aw/Article/1328585
The Brumalia was an ancient Roman festival honoring Saturn, Ops, and Bacchus. The festival lasted thirty days and ended on December 25, the day designated on the old Julian calendar as the winter solstice. " now we see that this solstice was not OUR 21 but the date 25
clearly as a compromise not to LOSE the finale "end on 25" the ancient christians included this date as a holiday with a new name
if you want to celebrate the renewal of the sun cycle then the date would be 22 december- the day after the shortest day when the days elongate- for the tree which needs the sun and the colored ball decorations for the sun and its light.
another coincidence is that the mention of december 25 as the birth day of jesus by certain "church father" was AFTER 273 after "December 25 was also considered to be the birthday of Sol Invictis, a Syrian deity whose cult was introduced by Aurelian in AD 273. " so the websites conclusion to separate them is just to comfort the appalled christians who cannot deny the coincidince of the word "birth".
so if you want to be like the original christians DO celebrate jew-holidays like pentecost.
to claim the original christians or the christ celebrated the birth of christs body is baseless because there is no such idea in the gospels nor in acts.
similarly Passover was celebrated by jesus in the gospels and that is when to celebrate "easter" not any "easter date" which last year different churches celebrated on different days. so do not take sides in the easter conflict just celebrate on the jewish passover!
