Josephus records that the pretty temple was destroyed in the second year of vespasian who ruled=Roman emperor (ad 69–79=http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/626856/Vespasian) thus the second year we call year 70 ad. he raises the issue of mourning but rejects it and the jews in his time did not mourn for stones. to do what the original jews did not do is "not jewish"
