I was handed a religious advertisement inviting me to celebrate easter in march...
the invitation claimed that jesus said in the book of luke to "do this cup in remembrance" of my blood- so it seems important to obey jesus- and the context in Luke is the jewish passover which this year is not march- and in the time of jesus was a lunar calendar [source: as preserved in josephus].
some protestant churches do not mark easter at all- because the "remembrance" of jesus who the romans killed [do we blame modern italians for what the ancient romans did? or only blame this generations jews for what ancient jews did to jesus?] at the jewish passover and the important resurrection was during the jewish passover and therefore any day besides the jewish passover is the wrong day.
