I noticed that "yarmouk" was mentioned in the israeli media- admittedly in a very indirect way yet mentioned

israel hayom newspaper page 11 of 26 april

but there is no fuss about yarmouk and other palestinian tragedies- unless the story has a jew to scrutinize because that is more important than condemning mass murders.

when the media reports the dreadful behavior of Israelis maltreating palestinian arabs- is this to awake compasion for the arabs? or is it only to condemn israel out of hate?

we can measure this by the media's coverage and lack of coverage of other palestinian massacres if they happen

did any happen? the media does not report what assad in syria is doing to palestinians and if they were speaking for compassion then =IF THEN they would have compassion on what assad is doing in syria to yarmouk-

 have we even heard of it?
yet just a few days ago on april 18, 2015 it was announced in arab media

we can deduce that the western media is inspired by hate of israel to put israel's self-defense under scrutiny and magnifying glass, by calling self defense "violence" and WORSE THAN HATING ISRAEL  which has been deduced, is the absence of condemning the other mass murders which are on a larger scale in Iraq and Syria as in the link below

but the media and the "audience" of the media does not "care" about palestinians being massacred- the only value worth mentioning IF it involves scrutinizing a jew involved in the story

so i begin with a condemnation-

first I CONDEMN the mass murder of christians and non-muslims by Islamic-state-organization

in Iraq.

less importantly I CONDEMN the western media for focusing on the palestinian tragedies only when it accuses a jew and specifically in the time when much worse tragedies are occurring which deserve condemnation

but- some will ask- the palestinians only suffer from israelis! some will ask otherwise the media would report?

I have received some criticism from critics of my idea and I admit some of them deserve replies

my choice of years is not appropriate since the "middle ages" ended more than 500 years ago

I accept the idea that locke was a great influence to the "age of enlightenment" and as a result the year number should not be 515 but rather 2015-1632

if so before locke we can call "before counting"=BC without any religion and without granting the birth of locke any religious significance by using the letter "p" for pre-, while counting from this point as the beginning of our age.

Hence this year can be called 383 until the next solar cycle aftyer the shortest day as explained on what the contract calendar would call december 22, and that is actually preferable because it generalizes the calendar to demonstrate- the performance of the work "alls well that ends well 1602" we may use a "secular" calendar instead of "jesus christ" and say in the year "30p" [pre-enlightenment] the play alls well that ends well was performed.

from the sun-cycle of december 22 of the contract calendar began the year 383 because our age is the age called enlightenment

in previous posts i spoke of short praises for the days of the months- and i specify here that they are intended for "shifting gears" from the lengthy prayers to stop reading- and replace with short, like moses prayed short and jesus instructed to avoid "much speaking" or "many words".

the common calendar [the one with february 28 days] is good for contract dates.

we need a better calendar added to it- not for contracts and not counting the years from a religious event because it is important to general-ize for everyone.

i have several recommendations one for jews and one for general- i write here the general

a calendar which is based on the cycle of the sun

from the shortest day which ends the cycle the date called "22 december for documents" can be the "new year" for a "general" calander in which all 12 months are 30 days except for 5 with an extra day- alternating and the last month can have an extra day when the shortest day is delayed by the acumalation of the quarters from the 365+1/4 days in the cycle- we will notice that this does not coincide with february's extra day but only relates to the actual cycle of the sun.

for "general" simply use numbers- not january or any other name- and not for document dating but for year counting ONLY-

and count from a general event not from a religious jesus- for general.

i recommend for jews a certain year- and the year before it can be like "bc" [not in latin but "before count"] however for general the year should count from the end of the middle ages 515 years ago.

hence as the 22 of the document-month approaches we complete the fourth month and will soon begin the 5 month of year 515 of the "general" calendar-

not related to any religion and instead rooted in the cycle of the sun from the short days to the longer and back to short.

and who are israeli politicians- have chosen what issues to focus on.

one of them is "stop breaking down houses" a complaint only relevant when the buildings were built illegaly and therefore showing disdain for the legal-requirements of permits and reviling the court which has already ruled to demolish several illegal buildings.

they show that they are not "familiar" with how to be a partner in a democracy.

I have nothing "against" arabs and can only hope that maybe if other arabs were the representatives, then things would look different.

it is a moral responsibility to find and arrest every old man that was not punished until now and there are many tens of suspects to locate and arrest and question and the judges must give an approproiate punishment according to the degree of their deeds- in contrat to them livinig free as each of us as if they did no crime

the word musketeer was once for the special guards  of the french king even without a musket- in fact they were swordsmen and in the video of 1921 they used "fencing" weapons.

the title "3 musketeers" is dreadfuly inaccurate since the main character is not one of the three guards called musketeers and in the end he becomes the fourth of the group so it is not "three"- worse choice if we consider no musket!

so what would i call it? "the greatest bodyguard" which would not only describe the main character but also his success in protecting from the cardinal's lies and schemes- far from being "god-fearing"

a passover short-story

Appor had been saving his income for months. now he was in the jewelery shop choosing the ear-jewelery for his mom! so many shiny shapes to choose from! and with gleaming gems of different colors like the variety of wild-flowers! finally he chose the banana-shaped gold earrings.

he held the pair in his hand and felt awe! it seemed so beautiful! this would be a perfect-present for passover!

as he walked home he saw Cherran, the girl he often studied with. appor showed the gift to her and said, "they are gorgeous!" cherran scorned the gift and said "I hope that is not for me. I hate the shape of bananas!" appor explained that the shape was pleasing to the eye and that it was a passover gift for his mother.

they walked home and discussed the plans for the passover play that they would act that evening. cherran told him about passover pete [see footnote] and he agred that it was a brilliant idea to inject the ancient passover with something like a handle to relate to.

appor insisted that passover was only to celebrate the end of the cold dark winter of short days and chilling cold winds. Cherran agreed and strengthened his words by saying it was always in the calendar near march 21 or later when the cold days had passed. appor added that the short days ended march 16 and from then the length of the day was longer than the length of night.

as they approached the house Dattor, his older sister, was leaving to go to the house of dad, and she scolded appor, "why do you always hang out with that ugly stubborn brat!" appor smiled at cherran and said "ignore her that just means she is jealous" cherran looked worried "she does not sound jealous" appor explained, "when a girl calls you ugly it means they feel like you are more beautiful and on this dattor is correct!"

appor handed the gold bananas to his mother and she shrieked in horror!

cherran and appor stared in shock and cherran recovered first "i did not think they were THAT bad"

mom hurried into the kitchen mumbling strange sounds, "acerolas! Gojus! aronius! guavus!" and threw the gold earings into the soup pot!

appor lost his temper "what did you do that for!" he was appalled and insulted.

mom explained, "those earings were cursed and the only way to clean them is to say the magic words and immediately cook the gold in the holy soup of the holiday."
"I asssure you, mom continued, " that once the curse is off i will wear your generous present." now, cherran hurried home to be with her family for the passover dinner.

that evening at precisely 6 pm appor and his mother met in the well-lit kitchen and said "happy passover" to each other. mom sighed and said "if only our family had worked out" hinting at the absence of dad, who had divorced her three years before in the summer. then appor served the ground-lamb-burgers and mom served the holy passover soup. mother and son ate lamb and salad and the holy soup.

at 7 pm cherran returned wearing her drama-costume, with the rest of the classmates to do the play of the story of the exodus for the broken family. mom put on the banana gold earings and she was so proud of her son who acted the part of  "Amram." the play acted out how amram hid his newborn son moses and then cherran, actingthe role of jocebed carried baby moses to the river etc. and all had a great time.
