this post=article challenges traditional Easter
many christians in the US celebrate easter as one of the most important holy days in the religion
perhaps second only to christmas
IF we assume that jesus died for sins- as in pauls letter to ephesians chapter 2 with chapter one
THEN the MAIN holiday should be his blood-day
BLOOD-DAY
which was the jewish passover =John chapters 12-end
NOT the day of birth which should not be important
nor the day of his resurrection
***clarification the context is main day and joy
and that day of atone- is on the jewish passover by the lunar calendar as preserved in Josephus "antiquity of jews" lunar=moon months
not "easter" which is a different date in all years except this year which coincides with april 5 and still not the day of "happy day wash my sin away" in the christian song
if revival is a celebration it should be less important than the BLOOD-DAY
if so the time to CELEBRATE=JOY is the date of the jewish passover which is this week friday
coinciding with the calendar week of the year christ was crucified
AND SECONDARY TO THE "DAY OF ATONEMENT" one may also celebrate the revival on the sunday following the jewish passover this year or the sunday before the jewish passover when the third day is not a sunday
so it is time to choose between: history OR the traditional easter
whether catholic or greek both dates do not match the passover when the romans killed the Christ
!!
